Philip Patston

Comedian, Change Consultant and Social Entrepreneur

Last post: 02/07/2009

Philip Patston is a comedian, consultant and social entrepreneur. He combines wit and intellect to challenge people's perceptions.  Philip is the Manager of Diversityworks, and trustee on the Diversityworks TrustCatch a bit of of Philip of Attitude TV.

Straight from Philip's website he writes:

"I've been a social worker, a counsellor, a Winston Churchill Fellow, a human rights activist, an award-winning comedian, a soap opera actor on Shortland Street, a columnist, a trainer and even New Zealand's inaugural Queer of the Year as voted by TV show Queer Nation. These days I'm also a New Zealand Social Entrepreneur Fellow, consultant, mentor, coach, team facilitator and motivational speaker for hire. In New Zealand I am most well-known for my live and broadcast work, particularly on stand-up comedy TV show Pulp Comedy (1997-2003), and vaguely remembered for my brief heterosexual role on soap opera Shortland Street (1999). I was named inaugural "Queer of the Year" by television show Queer Nation and awarded a Billy T James Award for commitment and contribution to the comedy industry by the NZ Comedy Trust."
