Who can become a member of the NZRA?
NZRA membership is open to everyone. Many of our members are health professionals working in different areas of rehabilitation in New Zealand, but we also have members who are: consumers of health and disability services, health and disability advocates, employees within health funding agencies (such as ACC and the Ministry of Health), university academics, as well as members of the general public. Membership also extends outside New Zealand.
Why should I become a member of the NZRA?
The NZRA is a non-profit organisation that relies heavily on the voluntary contribution of time of its members and executive members. The NZRA represents interdisciplinary and intersectorial interests in rehabilitation. It provides opportunities for building partnerships and for sharing information across professional disciplines and between health services and the community. No other organisation provides a forum such as this for stakeholders in rehabilitation in New Zealand. Becoming a member of the NZRA provides support for this agenda. NZRA membership fees are used to kick-start projects such as conferences and the development of the NZRA website as well as for the purchase of services necessary for running the Association (such as the annual financial audit).
What period do the membership fees cover?
Your membership fees are for the period 1 April to 31 March the following year. (For example, membership fees in paid 2008 are for membership from 1 April 2008 to 31 March 2009.)How much are the membership fees?
A special rate of $1 annually applies.
